Root Canal Procedure

  1. A small hole is drilled into the tooth making the tooth pulp accessible.
  2. Infected tissue and nerves are removed.
  3. The inside of the infected tooth are thoroughly cleaned and polished.
  4. If infection exists, antibiotics may be prescribed and tooth may need to be temporarily sealed until the infection is gone. Once the infection is cleared, Dr. Strelkov will permanently seal the tooth.
  5. Once clear, the clean hollow tooth with be filled with bio-compatible rubber (gutta percha).
  6. The tooth will be covered by a dental filling or dental crown to ensure a durable and long lasting root canal treatment and protect from future damage.
