Dental Crown Process
At your consultation, Dr. Vagnozzi-Bucci will examine your teeth and overall dental health. This exam will help us to design a personalized treatment plan that will restore the tooth to optimal health and function.
Dr. Vagnozzi-Bucci will then prepare the tooth/teeth by removing a small amount of the natural tooth structure to accommodate the dental crown. A temporary tooth cap will be placed on the tooth while the final restoration is being fabricated.
In about 2 to 3 weeks, you will return to our dentist office where Dr. Vagnozzi-Bucci will attach the dental crown, make any necessary adjustments and secure it for a permanent fit.
Same Day Dental Crowns
Dr. Vagnozzi-Bucci is one of the few dentists in the Hopewell Township, NJ area to offer same day dental crowns. With the use of advanced CEREC technology, our dentists can design, fabricate and place a porcelain dental crown in a single visit. CEREC utilizes CAD/CAM technology to ensure that the porcelain dental crown will fit perfectly over a decayed or damaged tooth, eliminating the need for a temporary crown. This also eliminates the need for messy dental impressions. You will be able to eat and drink normally following your appointment with little to no pain or sensitivity.
